Have you tried English Paper Piecing yet? If you are a crafty type person then it’s a great skill to learn. English Paper Piecing (or EPP) is really portable, doesn’t use many tools and you can even use us some of your precious scraps left over from other projects that you can’t quite bear to throw away, but can’t find a use for!
If you are indeed new to EPP or looking to pick up a few tips then I have for you the first of a few tutorials. This first tutorial on EPP basics looks at basting techniques (securing your fabric to the paper templates).
In the tutorial I cover the three main methods of basting your EPP shapes. I have some finished examples and do some demonstrations for you.
I hope you find my tutorial useful and it gives you the confidence to start out with EPP and find what works best for you!
