Have you spied the new Tilda Lemon Tree range yet? It’s an absolute delight! The range is just perfect for bringing a little brightness to a dreary winter.
The detail in some of these prints is just fabulous and it struck me how great they would be for a touch of fussy cutting. Just look at the little illustrations on the Lemontree print, aren’t they amazing? There are just so many sweet little stories going on
Recently on the Sewing Quarter I was lucky enough to be asked to demonstrate the beautiful Sun Spell pattern that was designed by Louisa Goult of Sewmotion. It seemed like the perfect pattern to showcase the detail in the Lemonade print.
This rather lovely piece of hoop art is now hanging in my sewing workroom.
If you would like some more inspiration as to how to use the new range, keep an eye out for more blog posts on the blog hop. Check out the Sew and So site for details on who is taking part and when they’re publishing their projects. I am sure as usual that there will be some great projects!
The Tilda Lemon Tree range is now available to purchase from Sew and So. There are so many greta prints to choose from. My favourite of course is the Lemon Tree print, closely followed by the Lemonade print …. or the mosaics …. argh, it’s too hard to choose!
Did you notice the lovely quilt in the background of the picture at the top of this post? The Lemonade Quilt pattern has been designed to showcase the new Lemon Tree range and I’m sure you’ll agree it does it well.
There’s a whole lot of curved cutting and piecing so in my humble opinion it’s a quilt pattern for the intermediate quilter, definitely not the beginner. If you fancy making it and are not sure how to do curved piecing or fancy increasing your skills set then tune into the Sewing Quarter on Weds 28th Feb where I shall be doing a demonstration and sharing lots of tips.
