Facets of the Heart FPP pdf pattern
The Facets of the Heart FPP pattern makes a beautiful, slightly rounded heart. Make it up in a whole rainbow of colours or make one up in one solid colour to make a bold statement. You could even try out several tones of the same colour.
Just imagine how stunning it would look as a wall hanging or incorporated into a quilt. It would also look great on a cushion or pillow cover.
The Facets of the Heart Foundation Paper Piecing pattern makes a 10″ block. Make sure that you print Actual Size in order to create a block in this size. Have a read of my blog post on How to Assemble pdf Sewing Patterns for tips on getting it right first time.
This pattern assumes that you already know how to paper piece so there are no technique tips included with the instructions.
This pattern (as with all FPP patterns) accuracy is key. There are a few places where it’s good to get the seams matching, but other than that it’s relatively straightforward.
All of the sections have been reversed so that you can plan your colour placements with ease. All of the section pattern pieces are clearly marked and include a 1/4″ seam allowance around the outside edges.
The pdf is a total of 7 pages, of which the pattern pieces make up 3 pages.
In the gallery of images you’ll see versions from two of my lovely customers.
The Striped Easter Egg FPP pattern makes a fun 8″ Easter themed block. It will look fabulous in a range of muted pastel tones.
Just imagine how stunning it would look as a mini wall hanging or incorporated into a larger quilt. It would also look great on a cushion or pillow cover, perfect for decorating your home at Easter.
There’s something a little magical about woodland creatures. Make this applique Fox Pocket and add it to something special to give it a little woodland charm.
Try adding a fox pocket to a little girl’s dress, use it as a pocket on the back of a pair of boy’s trousers or use it as a feature on a bag.
This pattern won a competition and appeared in the 10th edition of Crafty magazine in the UK!
