Quilt all done and dusted!

Quilt all done and dusted!

Posted in Sewing

Well the baby quilt is all done and dusted and it has been gifted. I am so pleased with how my first attempt at quilt making has turned out (if I don’t say so myself!)

Here’s the finished label….

and here is the finished article (well some of it). I was a bit gutted that I couldn’t get a picture of the whole quilt but it was raining and I thought it was a bit mean to give a damp quilt….that’s right it was all a bit of a rush to get it done in time so these pictures were taken on my lap in the car on the way down the country to see the new baby!

Can I be honest with you….? I almost kept the quilt for myself…I got quite attached to it and now that it has gone I miss it and the challenge it represented. sniff.

Well, I have plenty of fabric left over so I guess I’ll have to get planning on a quilt for Charlotte’s move to her big bedroom.

  • I hear you!!! I love making baby quilts for other people, but sometimes get so attached to them in the process. I feel so mean when I think about it though, so they always end up at their new homes. It is a beautiful looking quilt!!
