So, it’s my sister in law, Sarah’s hen weekend this coming weekend. I’m really looking forwards to it as it’s in London and I miss London.
Don’t get me wrong, I love that we’ve moved to the countryside and I love the life that it has given us and the fabulous people that we have met, but I miss London. I miss the buzz, I miss the restaurants, I miss the shops. I am therefore excited to be going at the weekend.
I am travelling down by train (first class I’ll have you know…bargain when you book far enough in advance), have meals out (PingPong and Langan’s), see a West End show (can’t tell you which one as it’s a surprise), have girly chats, do a spot of shopping (John Lewis yarn department and Selfridges maybe?) and have a girly sleep over (I’m sharing a hotel room with two other girls). All in all I’m looking forwards to a fab weekend.
So as part of the hen weekend we all give Sarah a little gift that represents a memory we have of her and she has to guess the memory and the person that has given her the gift. Lovely idea hey?
I’m obviously not going to tell you what I’m giving her (wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise) but I can tell you that I’ve got the sewing machine out and I’m making something from Flossie Teacakes….. here are the fabrics I am using…..
I am being very lazy not making up a pattern of my own but time is of the essence!
The excellent husband is in charge of the girls and the dog for the weekend. Please join me in wishing him good luck!
