There when you need them most

I knew that this week would be tough with Mum safely back in sunny Australia, but I also knew that the people I love the most would be there for me when I needed them.

Some of my local friends made time for me and the girls early in the week and the latter part of the week was spent at my mother in law’s house up in Harrogate.

Whilst in Harrogate we had a nice meal out at The Orchid, did a bit of shopping (no exciting purchases to report), caught up with Andrew’s brother in law and his girlfriend and their new dog Otis, and generally hid from the rain!

We got back from our few days away I was greeted by a fab card from my friend Mrs R (she always knows just what to say!). It was accompanied by a pack of card titled 52 rainy Day Activities by Lynn Gordon

Rainy Day Activities (52)

The way we are going this summer, this will turn out to be the best gift ever!

Having said that, this Sunday has been lovely, in fact too good bearing in mind that it has been the Wimbledon final today. I almost moved the television so that we could sit outside and watch the tennis from the patio!

All in all I am very grateful for my friends and family. Not sure where I would be without them. Big hugs and kisses to you all xxx
