Victoria Peat

Designer and Teacher

Hello, this is me! I’m Victoria and I love to sew and to teach other people to sew.

I live in the UK countryside and spend my time child wrangling, sewing, designing and teaching others to sew.

I’ve been sewing for over 25 years and have been teaching other people to sew for over 10 years. I am happy delivering one to one lessons and small to medium sized groups.

I studied fashion design, pattern drafting and bag making at London College of Fashion. I have a keen eye for detail and good construction techniques that I am happy to share with my students.

"It had been some time since I had used a sewing machine, but Victoria was very patient with me and gave me the confidence to pick up sewing again. After the course I went straight home and made two cushion covers!"

Guest Designer

I am one of the Guest Designers on the Sewing Quarter, a live TV channel here in the UK. I appear on screen demonstrating a range of sewing projects, sharing tips and techniques along the way.

Pattern Designer

I am a regular contributor to UK sewing, crafting and quilting magazines. I can work to editorial briefs or generate new project ideas. Projects can be supported with step by step photography or digitally drawn illustrations.

Get in touch if you would like to commission me to work on a project for your publication or book.
