Make Time Quilt Project
Do you Make Time to do what Makes you Happy?
In a busy world where our lives are full of work commitments, family duties, and the distractions of social media, we were reminded of the importance of making time for activities that nourish our souls, make us happy, and force us to slow down and reconnect with what’s really important.
As a small group of British designers, we have all designed blocks that reconnect us to our creativity, to the natural world, to our friends and to the importance of self-care and we’re all very proud to introduce you to our 2025 sew-along quilt, Make Time.
So, who are we?
Meet the Designers
Let me introduce you to the 2025 team of British Designers! We have all had a blast designing and making this quilt and it holds a special place in our hearts. We each designed 4 of the blocks although Jo designed one extra as she is a glutton for punishment!
Under each of our profile pictures I have put links to our newsletter sign up forms. That way you can keep up to date with our sew-along/extra support posts (more about that below).

Make Time to Colour your Quilt!
Choosing colours for the Make Time quilt was a lot of fun, but with four completely different designers the process was not as straightforward as you might think. We all have completely different aesthetics and trying to come to a consensus took a little time. All of the discussions (negotiations??) were held over zoom call and poor Jo was arranging and rearranging little swatches from the Kona colour card over and over! We got there in the end and I am sure that you will agree that it’s a lovely palette.
Here is our final selection…a great group of colours, I am sure you will agree! It’s a great mix of a couple of stronger colours, plus a few softer ones.
If this colour palette is not to your liking, you can of course use any selection you like! Your pattern purchase will come with a blank diagram for colouring for you to plan your own colour scheme.
If you’d like to do some digital re-colouring, then give QuiltInk a try. We have loaded a copy of the quilt onto their website. There you can re-colour and save your version of the design plus you’ll be able to see the versions that other fans of the Make Time quilt
