Candy Cane : FPP Quilt Block

The Candy Cane FPP quilt block pdf pattern includes two finished block sizes: 6″ and 10″.

The pdf INSTRUCTIONS feature:

:: Coloured illustration of the block
:: Blank diagram and key for colouring and/or planning fabric placement
:: Guidance on printing the pattern pieces the correct size
:: illustrations to help with joining the sections

The PATTERN PIECES feature:

:: Digitally drawn pattern pieces
:: 1/4″ seam allowances on all sections
:: Reversed so you create a block that looks exactly as the illustration
:: Coloured and labelled to make construction as easy as possible
:: Laid out to print on A4 or US Letter paper

The two pattern pieces for the 10″ version of the Candy Cane FPP quilt block will need to be joined together before starting to sew. See page 2 of instructions for details.

DIFFICULTY

This pattern is for people that are familiar with Foundation Paper Piecing. This pattern features the same block in two different sizes. The stripes in this design are quite narrow so you may find an ‘add an eighth’ ruler useful to reduce the bulk of the seam allowances.

There is just one seam to match when joining the two sections, see the instructions for details.
