Christmas Elf FPP Cushions
£10.00
Father Christmas gets all the credit, but let’s be honest, he couldn’t do it all if it weren’t for the Elves. These Christmas Elves have such cheeky little faces and will look super in your home this Christmas and for many Christmases to come!
The Christmas Elves Cushion pattern is available as either a downloadable pdf or printed paper pattern. Each version of the pattern includes full sized pattern pieces for the central block plus step-by-step instructions for turning the blocks into cushions, perfect for decorating your home for many Christmas seasons to come.
See full description below for details on the differences between the pdf and the paper pattern, please check before purchase.
These Christmas Elf cushions are a Foundation Paper Pieced project. The centrally pieced sections with the faces have borders added to them to create the cushion fronts.
Once finished, your Christmas Elf cushions will measure approximately 14″ square. The central FPP sections are 10″ finished and of course can be used in other patchwork projects.

DIFFICULTY
When it comes to the paper piecing element of the project, I would recommend this pattern to a confident beginner. There are a couple of small pieces and there are a few seams to match when joining sections (refer to green circles on the construction diagrams), but if you take your time, it is achievable.
This pattern assumes that you already know how to paper piece so there are no FPP technique tips included with the instructions (see below for links to tutorials).
If you are feeling confident or adventurous you can add additional detail to the cushions using free motion or straight line quilting (as I have done in the samples shown here). Guidance has not been included for this optional embellishment.
