LOVE Sampler Quilt

The LOVE Sampler Quilt is made up of 30 different 12″ blocks, three of which are plain squares. This quilt is made using a number of traditional piecing skills (including curves), appliqué and foundation paper piecing.

FABRICS USED IN MY SAMPLE

I used a selection of fabrics from Lewis and Irene and Makower

• Background 1/White – Makower Essentials White on White Hearts
• Background 2/Very Light Pink – Lewis & Irene Spots Tan on Pink
• Red – Lewis & Irene Celtic Coorie
• Light Pink – Lewis & Irene Chievely
• Mid Pink – Makower Little Sweetheart
• Dark Pink – Lewis & Irene Maya Vines
• Purple – Lewis & Irene Winter Garden

When selecting fabrics ensure that you have enough of a contrast between Background 1 (white) and Background 2 (v light pink used as background to the letters) for maximum impact.
