ON DEMAND CLASS
As a bolt-on to the pdf pattern, you are able to enrol onto the Santa Hat On Demand Class where you can see a full demonstration of me making the Santa Hat block. You can read more about the Santa Hat On Demand Class on the class page
DIFFICULTY
This pattern features the same block in three different sizes. I would recommend for a beginner to start with the 8″ version of the block as the pieces are larger in size. There are a couple of smaller pieces (particularly when it comes to the 4″ block) and there are a few seams to match when joining sections (refer to green circles on page 3), but if you take your time, it is achievable.
This pattern assumes that you already know how to paper piece so there are no FPP technique tips included with the instructions (see below for links to tutorials or enrol onto the On Demand Class).

Pattern is cute, directions are easy to follow and the video instructions during the holiday special, even with just a quick once thru, made this novice paper piecer confident in trying out (and succeeding at) this Santa hat pattern. The code worked perfectly and all you have to do is continue with filling out the information that it asks (never asked for payment) and the pattern downloaded with ease. Highly recommend this pattern and creator.
