Sewing Machine : FPP Quilt Block

The Sewing Machine Foundation Paper Piecing quilt block pdf pattern includes 5 finished block sizes: 6″, 8″, 10″, 12″ and 18″.

The pdf INSTRUCTIONS feature:

:: Coloured illustration of the block
:: Blank diagram and key for colouring and/or planning fabric placement
:: Diagrams for joining the FPP sections
:: Guidance on printing the pattern pieces the correct size

The PATTERN PIECES feature:

:: Digitally drawn pattern pieces
:: 1/4″ seam allowances on all sections
:: Reversed so you create a block that looks exactly as the illustration
:: Coloured and labelled to make construction as easy as possible
:: Laid out to print on A4 or Letter paper

Depending on the quilt block size being made, a number of the longer pattern pieces will need to be joined together before starting to sew. See page 2 of instructions for details).

DIFFICULTY

This pattern is for people that are familiar with Foundation Paper Piecing. Th

The smaller quilt block sizes will be more challenging as there are some small pieces around the needle and on the curved outer edges of the machine. You may benefit from the use of an ‘add an eighth’ ruler to reduce the bulk of the seam allowances for the smaller block sizes.

There are 4 points where it is important to match when joining sections. There is a diagram on page 4 of the instructions.
