Sprig of Holly : FPP Quilt Block

The Sprig of Holly FPP quilt block pdf pattern includes two finished block sizes: 6″ and 10″.

DIFFICULTY

The Sprig of Holly FPP quilt block is a challenging one! There are 18 sections to sew and twelve (12) seams that need to match when constructing this block. These points are highlighted on the diagram on page 4 of the instructions.

This pattern features the same block in two different sizes. I would recommend for a beginner to start with the 10″ version of the block as the pieces are larger in size. If you are sewing the 6″ version you will definitely benefit from the use of an ‘add an eighth ruler’ to reduce the seam allowances, particularly around the berries.
