Spring Butterfly FPP Pocket Mug Rug

The Spring Butterfly Pocket Mug Rug is primarily made using Foundation Paper Piecing skills. It features a bound slip pocket on the left hand side.

Finished project measures approximately 9.5″ wide x 6.5″ high.

The main Butterfly block measures 6″ square and can be used in other patchwork and quilting projects.

:: Coloured illustrations of the blocks
:: Blank diagram and key for colouring and/or planning fabric placement
:: Diagrams for joining the FPP sections
:: Step-by-step instructions for turning the FPP sections into a mug rug

The PATTERN PIECES feature:

:: Digitally drawn pattern pieces
:: 1/4″ seam allowances on all sections
:: Reversed so you create a block that looks exactly as the illustration (butterfly flying to the right)
:: Coloured and labelled to make construction as easy as possible
:: Laid out to print on A4 or US Letter paper

DIFFICULTY

This pattern is for people that are familiar with Foundation Paper Piecing. There are some smaller pieces here and there where an 1/8″ seam allowance if preferable. An ‘add an eighth’ ruler would be really useful if you have one.
