Hurrah, my luvinthemommyhood Summer Sweater Knit Along project is complete!
Actually, it was finished some time ago, I’d just not taken any pictures of it. I finally got Dad to take some pictures before he left on Sunday (sniff sniff).4
I am so so pleased with my lavender jacket in blue, in yellow! The brioche/fisherman’s rib is such a lovely snuggly squishy stitch and I am sure that this cardigan will keep me nice and warm over the Autumn and winter, which feels like it has well and truly arrived!
The second sleeve knitted up really quickly as I decided to actually follow the pattern and I knitted the sleeve flat, rather than in the round. Much, much quicker.
As I have gone along I have found it quite difficult to get an accurate picture of the colour of this cardigan. These pictures are probably closest to the true colour, but here it still looks quite bright in the sunshine!
Things I have learned whist making this project:
- Do not make a mistake when knitting fisherman’s rib. It is the biggest pain in the backside to fix. Seriously, I’m not kidding
- Have faith in the pattern instructions and go with the flow
You will all be pleased to know that this is the last you will hear or read of this sweater – job done!
Thank you again to Shannon of luvinthemommyhood for hosting the knit along. Thanks also to everyone else that has taken part, you have all made some amazing sweaters.
