Love hand stitching?
Love a quilt show?
If you’ve answered yes to some of the above then this blog post might just be for you!
I am absoloutely delighted to let you know that next Spring I shall be a travelling expert with Arena Tours! We will be travelling from the UK to Nantes, France for a 6 night stay, including a visit to the ‘Pour l’Amour du Fil’ quilting exhibition
So, what's the plan?
Essentially you get to come on a stitchy holiday with me! Importantly though, all of the hard work and planning has been done by the team at Arena Travel.
I will travel with you for the whole trip and we will have some great experiences and make some great memories. It’s a fab opportunity to meet some like minded people, do some stitching and see a fabulous area of the world.
Whilst we are away I will be holding four half day hand stitching workshops where I will share with you all of my tips and techniques and we will work on some great projects.
We will also be going on a day visit to the quilting exhibition ‘Pour l’Amour du Fil’. This exhibition is in it’s 12th year and will be celebrating quilting from the British Isles. There will even be a display of antique quilts from The Quilters’s Guild of Great Britain and Ireland, which is forming part of the 40th anniversary celebrations.
We will also be doing some sight seeing and will have a guided tour of the fabulous looking textile and fashion museum in Cholet.
You can see a day by day breakdown in the full itinerary on the Arena website
Sounds great, when are we going?
Ok, so we will all travel together from London Gatwick. We’re leaving on the 20th of April and will return on the 26th of April.
Once we are in Nantes we will be staying in the rather swish looking Raddison Blu hotel
