Granny Stripe Blanket – Ta-dah

My granny stripe blanket is complete – hurrah! It seems to have taken an age to complete, yet has worked up really fast. I started this blanket back in the summer of last year but it kept being put to one side whilst I squeezed in a  few extra projects, so in that respect it has taken me an age to complete. in actual fact the granny stripe is a really quick and easy stitch to work. Once you are in the rhythm of it you seem to whizz along the rows.

After moaning about how boring it is to finish an old project rather than start a new one, I can confirm that I was wrong

I so loved getting to the end of the border and loved even more doing the scalloped edge – it looks just so pretty and I’m glad I did it.

Thank you to Lucy of Attic 24 for her instructions on how to make a granny stripe blanket. The border and scalloped edge were my own doing – my talents are indeed endless!

  • It has turned out beautiful, and I love the scalloped edge. What a great idea that was!
