Christmas Candles FPP Quilt Block

Especially if you live in the Northern Hemisphere, the light of a flickering candle on those dark winter evenings in the run up to Christmas can really put you in a festive mood.

This Christmas Candles quilt block is going to look great as part of any festive quilt, but I think it will look particularly fabulous featured as part of a table runner. Let me know how you decide to use your block.

You can make this block in either a 6″ or a 10″ finished size with the pattern pieces included with the pdf download.

In this pattern there are no seams to match so it’s great for those new to foundation paper piecing. There are some smaller pieces around the flame, but they are added in the same way as any other piece. Remember, if you are unsure, cut a piece of fabric larger than you think to give yourself a little more wriggle room!

I use my add a quarter ruler (and my add an eighth ruler) every time I do FPP!
