Feature :: Oval Wash Bag in Love Sewing Issue 20

Erratum – Seam Allowances should be 1.5cm throughout (unless specified) NOT 1cm as printed in the magazine

The latest issue of Love Sewing is on the shelves and for this issue I have designed an Oval Wash Bag, the perfect size for holidays and weekends away. You could even make one as a gift for someone special…Christmas is coming!

Love Sewing Issue 20 Front Cover Feature

This is a project more for the intermediate sewer. It involves making and inserting piping (using bias binding) and inserting a zip.

IMG_3584I had the pleasure of working with fabric from Karen Lewis‘s new fabric range, Blueberry Park for Robert KaufmanIMG_3545

The main fabric is Dalmation in grey and I’ve used Flowerbed in peach as a contrast for the tabs at either end of the zip.
IMG_3543I also used the Flowerbed print as a contrast for the lining. I just love it when the inside of a bag is just as pretty as the outside!IMG_3571

If you would like to see the whole Blueberry Park range, check out the Robert Kaufman page, there are loads of brilliant prints and colours.
